Arden Calcite
Bred to jump and still available: Arden Calcite grey gelding. Born Jan 2020 presently 15.2h and growing.
- Calgary GNZ x Arden Gem (Premonition x Connemara - Glenormiston Flashy Diamond, half sister to Feldale Mouse)
3/4 warmblood, 1/4 Connemara. Calcite is sired by Calgary who needs little introduction: standing at Finch Farm, competing Grand Prix showjumping and the sire of horses performing at international level; he is also a popular sire for young rider horses. Cal’s dam is sired by Premonition, himself a 4* eventer, Prix St George dressage and show jumper campaigned by Brett Cantle, Belle Cantle and David Finch. Cal’s grandam is a half sister to Feldale Mouse who successfully competed at Badmington.
Cal has been allowed to mature in a herd environment in a paddock and is strong and straight of limb. He has elastic, athletic movement and an inquisitive quiet temperament. Bred for a performance home.
Arden Finlay
Finlay is a purebred colt available upon weaning. He is very cute and like his siblings is expected to be a particularly quiet performance pony suited to either a child or adult rider. Finaly’s dam, Glenormiston Fintra was herself a successful riding pony in showjumping, dressage and eventing ridden by children and adults alike. She was a multi-supreme champion in hand, acknowledging her correct conformation and significant beauty. Finlay is sired by the young stallion Killeenfarna Uncle Joe, who is just starting on his in hand and show hunter performance career under the guidance of his owner James Balfe.
